Discover career opportunities at Röchling: Talent Mile attracts around 170 visitors

  • Insights into a wide range of training and study opportunities at the Haren site
  • The internal training fair provided helpful information

Haren, 11 March 2026 | The second internal Talent Mile at Röchling Industrial in Haren attracted considerable interest and strong participation on 5 March. Around 170 guests – including 85 interested pupils accompanied by their parents or guardians, as well as several teachers from partnering schools – took the opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into the wide range of vocational training programmes and dual study options offered by the international plastics processor.

Insights into diverse career paths – clear and hands-on
In a relaxed atmosphere, the apprentices and the training team presented a wealth of useful information about vocational training at Röchling. In personal conversations, the young people gained authentic insights into everyday working life and the processes involved in various apprenticeship professions.

Careers you can experience first-hand

In addition to personal conversations, the focus was above all on active participation: at various stations, pupils were able to operate an extrusion line using VR goggles, giving them the chance to experience one of the company’s manufacturing processes. They also had the opportunity to use a laboratory extruder to produce their own spinning tops and carabiner hooks, familiarise themselves with different tools used by the Technical Service department, steer a remote-controlled mini forklift, and experience a wide range of testing procedures in the materials laboratory at close quarters.
The programme was complemented by comprehensive information about Röchling as an employer, the application process, individual entry opportunities, and a company presentation delivered by apprentices and dual students.
The pleasant and open atmosphere provided the ideal setting for varied conversations between guests, apprentices, and employees.
‘The positive feedback from participants shows how important personal insights and direct conversations are for young people exploring career options. With our Talent Mile, we believe we are creating exactly the right environment for this and highlighting the great importance of vocational training within our company,’ say Renate Telgenkämper and Valeri Karastelev from the HR department, responsible for vocational training, reflecting on the successful event.
