The Semi-crystalline High Performance Material
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) can be used continuously at temperatures above 200°C, making it a high-temperature material. PPS is particularly notable for its dimensional stability and high strength and rigidity up to the glass transition temperature (90°C), as well as its excellent chemical resistance, which is otherwise only achieved by fluoroplastics. Its flame resistance (UL94 V0) is also remarkable. If PEEK is too high-quality for technical reasons, PPS can often be considered as a more cost-effective alternative.
