Application Examples

Support plates and support plate pads

Cranes and construction machines have to be secure and stable. Lamigamid® support plates are light, stable and have a low impact on the ground. Even at high impact loads, the plastic plates remain dimensionally stable. Support plates made of Lamigamid® are used at support pressures of 250kN to 1,500kN. Heavy-duty support plates are made of Lamigamid® 300, Lamigamid® 310 or Lamigamid® 400. We supply support plates complete with assembly material according to the customers’ requirements – both for permanently mounted and removable versions.

Sliding elements for telescopic booms

Sliding and pushing movements occur in various places in cranes and hoisting equipment. The self-lubricating properties and high wear resistance of the sliding elements such as glide strips, glide sheets and sliding guides made of Lamigamid® support this process and prevent stick-slip effects. + Slider for curved telescopic segments + Guide of the hydraulic cylinder in the telescopic boom + Slider in the construction machine + Slider with grease grooves Properties Heavy dutyLow moisture absorptionGood emergency operating properties

Support plates

Telescopic cranes and truck-mounted cranes have to be secure and stable. Plastic support plates are used for this purpose. Support plates made of Lamigamid® are light and stable and have a low impact on the ground surface. Even at high impact loads, the plastic plates remain dimensionally stable. Support plates made of Lamigamid® are used at support pressures of 250kn – 1500kn. Heavy-duty support plates are made of Lamigamid® 300, Lamigamid® 310 or Lamigamid® 400. Castors

Castors -Castors made of our materials Sustamid® 6G and Lamigamid® machined within tight tolerances are subject to less wear than steel because of their excellent abrasion resistance and high mechanical strength and toughness, are low-maintenance and thus make for a very long servicelife. We would be happy to advise and support you in selecting materials, designing and performing stress computations.

Sheaves

Sheaves made of Lamigamid®, manufactured in the moulding process, are used by developers and manufacturers in crane and hoisting technology worldwide. Because of their high mechanical load capacity, dimensional stability and abrasion resistance, our sheaves are suitable for very high cable pull forces and support the performance and operational safety of cranes and hoists. Different materials are available for different requirements depending on the application, for example for use at temperatures from -40°C to +60°C and in explosion-proof areas (ATEX). Ourmanufacturing processes and mechanical post-processing also enable us to manufacture special format castings. Our sheaves have an outer diameter of up to 3,090mm - world record! +Foto Sheave made of Lamigamid® 310 having an outer diameter of 3,090mm, fully assembled +Foto Lamigamid® sheaves available in different diameters and with pre-assembled bearings on request +Foto Support the performance and operational safety of cranes: Sheaves made of Lamigamid® combine very high cable pull forces with good vibration damping – here used in a Liebherr RL-K offshore crane - © Liebherr Properties: Lightweight - Extended service life of the cables -Good vibration damping of the materials -High resistance to corrosive effects
