Ballistics: plastics for safe and reliable protection
Safety is a matter of trust. If there is a need for ballistic safety in and around buildings, vehicles, ships and containers, we must be able to rely at all times on the ballistic protection materials used. Whether the required protection is against shots, blasts, shattering, fire or burglary, there is absolutely no room for compromise. We offer a large selection of composites and thermoplastic ballistic protection materials. They are used in civil and military applications on every continent.
And we believe it is essential to carry out our own shot and blast tests. We test our materials under realistic conditions and are constantly refining them. Our materials also meet all prevailing international ballistic standards such as UL-752, NIJ, EN 1522/1523, VPAM PM2007 and Stanag 2280.
Certified according to UL752 and EN 1522/1523
Flame-retardant according to UL -94 V0
Low weight & easy to use
Approved for civil and military applications
Typical areas of application
Bank counters, ATMs
Yachts and mega-yachts

Ballistic panel - shooting test passed: DuroProtect® 52 shots of cal. 7.62 x 39 (AK 47).
Protective plate made of LignoProtect®
A reliable panel: LignoProtect® panel tested with Kalaschnikow (AK 47) 7.62 x 39 calibre.
Linings in areas at risk of explosion
Thanks to its permanently antistatic properties, Matrox® EX 60 is particularly suitable for applications in areas at risk of explosion. The material also has a high impact strength and is very UV resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use such as in open-cast mining.
Arrange technical advice
The performance and service life of ballistic protection materials are influenced by a variety of factors. These criteria need to be considered in order to make the right choice. Examples:
Weapons and munitions
Type of explosive
Fire safety classes
Design requirements, dimensions and tolerances
