Materials for ventilators
Designing and manufacturing ventilators imposes great responsibility upon the manufacturer. To treat patients safely, ventilators must meet the highest medical requirements in terms of functionality, reliability and process stability. Machined to close tolerances according to the customer's drawing, the breast biopsy unit made of SUSTAPEEK MG offers excellent resistance to all conventional forms of cleaning and sterilisation processes. However, the material also has extremely high dimensional stability, which is vital for the application. SUSTAPEEK is biocompatible according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5. The tests were performed directly on the semi-finished product.
Components for magnetic resonance tomography (MRT)
Made of glassfibre-reinforced plastic, Durostone® is permeable for magnetic fields, making it excellently suited for use in magnetic resonance tomography (MRT). Components made of Durostone® include patient beds, coil supports made of coiled rings and spacers machined according to customer drawings.
We developed our Polystone® P ortho product range for the various requirements and applications of orthopaedic technology. The ortho products offer optimized thermoforming and shrink properties as well as high surface quality. These properties make them ideally suited for a variety of applications such as ankle-foot orthoses (picture).
