Application Examples

ESD and anti-static products for tablet manufacturing

Challenge: Customer required anti-static materials for products involved in manufacture of Drugs from powder. Materials used: Polystone^® G EL used for Glove Ports, Polystone^® M AST used for chutes and tubes, Sustarin^® C ESD used for manifolds, Fibracon^® PTFE AS used for seals and flexible connections. ESD and AS materials dissipate static build up generated by the movement of the powders. Wide range of temeratures and cleaning agents.

ROV components

Remote Offshore Vehicles (ROVs) are continuous being designed to operate in ever increasing depths. To aid this, we supply numerous corrosion resistant, key components used to assemble an ROV. This includes the naturally buoyant Polystone^® P and Polystone^®D used for the side frames. While electronics boxes made from Sustarin^® C have replaced metallic components, thanks to the materials lower weight and corrosion resistance. With the same corrosion resistance, low weight and excellent impact resistance leading to the use of Sustamid^® 6G for thruster nozzles and ROV buckets.
