Tracheostomy Tubes

Application & Areas of Use

Tracheostomy tubes are used to assist ventilation of a tracheostomized patient.

They are inserted into the trachea after access has been gained through the soft tissues of the neck by tracheostomy.

Made of durable plastic, tracheostomy tubes are used in many medical settings such as intensive care units, pediatrics, and various non-hospital settings as part of long-term care.

Tracheostomy Tube TRACOE medical GmbH

Product Features Overview

Our tracheostomy tubes have two primary requirements: to ensure patient safety and to facilitate ergonomic use.

This is why all our tracheostomy tube types are flexible and dimensionally stable, regardless of the design and different sizes. A low wall thickness and a perfect fit between the inner cannula and outer cannula, and thus an optimal ratio between the inner and outer diameters, increase the patient's respiratory supply while maintaining the same breathing effort.

Our tubes are produced in accordance with strict shape, position and general manufacturing tolerances and meet precise surface finish requirements.

  • Manufactured under ISO 8 conditions
  • Manufactured from X-ray detectable plastic compounds
  • A range of size variations available
  • Maximum dimensional stability with maximum flexibility required

Our Expertise

Maximum Flexibility

At Röchling Medical, we focus on the specific requirements of our customers and adapt with maximum flexibility. The production of tracheostomy tubes requires a deep understanding of the material, as the tubes must be both stable and flexible and furthermore have to be clearly distinguishable in X-rays due to special additives in the raw material. In close cooperation with the customer and material supplier, we developed a material compound that meets both the application-specific requirements for ergonomics and patient safety as well as the manufacturing requirements. Based on fluid mechanics simulations and injection molding simulations, we developed a product and mold concept that allows us to manufacture a product that meets all dimensional, practical and material requirements.

Material Expertise

We are experts in the intelligent selection and combination of different materials, which means we can achieve the ideal properties in their interaction.

Qualified Suppliers

We coordinate the communication and all processes with our external suppliers, whether concerning materials, machines, bought-in parts, packaging or other elements. With the help of regular audits and re-qualifications as well as a strict incoming goods inspection, we ensure flawless quality.
