Sustarin® H, often known on the market as ‘Delrin’, the brand name of the raw material manufacturer, has a slightly higher density, stiffness and strength compared to Sustarin® C. The chemical resistance, in particular the hydrolysis resistance of Sustarin® H is significantly worse than that of the copolymer. Sustarin® C (FG) should therefore be used in preference, especially in the food industry, where hot water is frequently used for cleaning. The homopolymer has an advantage in applications with high mechanical loads.
