PPE
Amorphous Plastic with Heat and Moisture Resistance
Polyphenylene ether (PPE) is an amorphous thermoplastic characterized by high heat resistance, excellent dimensional stability, and low moisture absorption. The material also offers good chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties. PPE is almost exclusively offered as a blend with other plastics, often polystyrene, as pure PPE oxidizes very easily at temperatures above 100°C.
