More than 200 participants at the first Röchling Charity Run
Haren, 28 April 2026 | With great commitment and under excellent weather conditions, the Röchling Charity Run celebrated its successful premiere last Saturday. More than 200 participants took part, coming together to send a strong message of solidarity and support in the fight against cancer.
Children’s and main run around the company premises
The event kicked off at 3:30 p.m. with the children’s run, which saw nearly 100 children take part. This was followed at 4:00 p.m. by the main run, with more than 120 runners setting off. On a route of approximately 2.7 kilometres around the company premises, participants had two hours to complete as many laps as possible.
“The strong participation and positive atmosphere show how important collective engagement is. We are delighted with the successful start and the support for this worthy cause,” said Dietmar Telgenkämper, Global Technical Director Machined Components at Röchling Industrial.
Donations for a good cause
Thanks to entry fees as well as additional donations from participants and visitors, a total of €3,006 was raised in support of German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe).
In addition to the sporting activities, participants also had the opportunity to register as potential stem cell donors on site, organised by the association Leukin. Catering was provided by, among others, TuS Haren with bratwurst, donated cakes and other savoury snacks – with all proceeds donated in full.
“With our donation, we would like to support the important work of German Cancer Aid, which has been committed for many years to helping those affected and their families. It is very important to us to make a contribution here,” added Daniel Fritz, Chief Financial Officer at Röchling Industrial.
Following its successful premiere, it has already been confirmed that the Röchling Charity Run will take place again next year.
