The wide range of our materials covers almost all requirements in terms of temperature and time in the production of food. Many of our food-compliant materials are available directly ex stock in different sizes or can be produced at short notice.
Röchling offers a broad range of plastics for direct contact with food, from standard plastics to high-temperature plastics. An overview of these materials can be found in the table below. Many of them comply with the requirements of Regulation 10/2011/EU, which has been in force since May 2011, as well as Framework Regulation 1935/2004/EC and Regulation 2023/2006/EC. Many of Röchling’s plastics for direct contact with food also meet the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition to 10/2011/EU and FDA, some of our materials may also meet the requirements of the Food Sanitation Act Amendment Japan, China Food GB 4806.1 or the Foodstuffs and Animal Feed Code – LFBG.
Proof of suitability for food contact is provided through migration tests in accordance with Regulation 10/2011/EU, which have been carried out on our plastics using all required simulants under strict testing conditions with regard to temperature and duration. The tested plastics are considered suitable for contact with all types of food in accordance with our declarations of compliance.
Our plastic products, which are intended for contact with food as set out in the table below, comply with the requirements of Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. This means they do not have any negative influence onthe health of consumers and the composition, taste, aroma and appearance of the Food.
It goes without saying that our manufacturing processes are in line with "Good Manufacturing
Practice" (2023/2006/EC).
