Expansion of our Food Grade range for Sustadur PET FG

Portfolio expansion in blue and black

The new material in blue and black complements our portfolio of food processing materials with EU conformity for direct contact with food. Especially for components with high requirements regarding:

  • Mechanical strength
  • Low creep tendency
  • Low thermal expansion
  • Maximum continuous service temperature

this material is suitable.

In terms of the properties mentioned, Sustadur PET FG is superior to the well-known Sustarin C FG (see also table below).

Due to its better chemical resistance to acids compared to Sustarin C, Sustadur PET FG also has advantages when in contact with acidic food and acidic cleaning agents. Cleaning with hot water or even superheated steam, on the other hand, is not recommended due to the risk of stress cracking.

Product range

  1. Round bars: diameter 20mm-100mm, standard length 3000 mm
  2. Plates: thicknesses 20mm-100mm, standard width 620 mm 

The production of the product range is made to order, currently the range is not yet available as a stock product.
