Röchling acquires Life Science Specialist Advent Tool & Mold Inc.

Röchling continues to expand in the Life Science Industry

Röchling is consistent in its strategy to expand its offerings of plastic products to the Life Science industry with the acquisition of the U.S. company. The Röchling Group already offers an extensive manufacturing program for semi-finished medical grade plastics through Röchling Sustaplast, Röchling Engineering Plastics and the injection molding company Röchling Oertl Kunststofftechnik.

Advent Tool & Mold Inc., is a full service manufacturing specialist of precision injection molded plastic parts for medical equipment and components for the electronic industry and vehicle construction and generates with its 250 employees sales of approximately 35 million U.S. dollars. A particular competitive advantage of Advent Tool & Mold Inc. is its own tool making capability, which allows for unconventional product solutions.

Advent Tool & Mold Inc. is ISO 13485 certified, adhering to the high standards for the design and manufacturing of medical devices.

Ludger Bartels, COO of the Röchling Group and also CEO of the High-Performance Plastics Division states: "This acquisition allows us to significantly expand the position of Röchling, as a provider of sophisticated plastic products for the life science industry. In addition, we expect the acquisition to translate into synergies with other Röchling subsidiaries, which cater to the life science industry.

Lewis H. Carter, President of Röchling Engineering Plastics, North America, will also function as the president of Advent Tool & Mold Inc.. The general management will remain in the hands of Ken Desrosiers.
