Children love to play and charge around and are eager to discover the world. Play areas are the ideal place for developing their motor and social skills. For parents, though, the most important thing is that the play equipment must be both safe and suitable for children, so they can feel safe while letting their little ones enjoy new experiences. When planning and designing play areas, designers must take this into account from the very start.
That's why we developed the playground material Play-Tec® specifically for the design of play areas. Play-Tec® meets the high requirements placed on
In their urge to explore, children often treat playground equipment anything but gently. For this reason, the materials used in play areas must be absolutely safe. This means:
Our playground material Play-Tec® meets these stringent safety requirements: it poses no risk of injury and was successfully tested by the technical inspection agency TÜV NORD CERT GmbH according to DIN EN 71-3, -9, -10, -11. Moreover, Play-Tec® meets the requirements of the GS Specification AfPS GS 2014:01 PAK "testing and assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAK) regarding the granting of the GS mark of quality".
Playground equipment must be able to withstand rain, sun, wind and dirt the whole year round. Our playground material Play-Tec® is specifically designed for outdoor use. The high quality of the product results in a very long service life. Even after 10 years there is no sign of material brittleness expected.
Yet our playground material Play-Tec® requires very little maintenance. Graffiti and soiling adhere poorly to the surface and can be easily removed using conventional cleaners. Even scratches are virtually invisible, since the material is imbued with colour through and through.
Children love colour. That's why our playground material Play-Tec® is available in all RAL colours in one, two or three colours. Through much dedication, we have developed Play-Tec®, a product that is unparalleled in play area design: We offer
Accelerated weathering test: Even after 2,000 hours of xenon accelerated weathering (DIN EN ISO 4892-2), our playground material Play-Tec® retains its vibrant colours. The test simulates the time lapse effects of the most important climatic parameters such as, UV radiation, heat, moisture and rainfall.
Outdoor weathering systems: Due to the complexity and variety of the influencing factors of environmental conditions it isn't possible to translate the test results to real use, which is why Röchling has been collecting field values in outdoor weathering systems across the world for many years. The results and comparisons to products on the market are convincing!
