Röchling Medical manufactures bottles specifically designed for use with Aptar Pharma's Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser (OSD).
The bottles are an integral part of the function of the entire eye dropper system. The system is specifically designed for ophthalmic formulations (eye drops) that do not contain preservatives, making them gentler and more tolerable for patients to use. The OSD device prevents the back contamination of the filled liquid.

The bottles are an innovative design developed in collaboration with Aptar Pharma.
Squeezability of the bottle is crucial for the comfortable and intuitive operation and user-friendliness of the eye dropper system. The bottle's wall thickness influences the restoring force and is therefore critical for functionality: if the restoring force is too low, the back-ventilation of the entire system cannot take place to a sufficient extent and thus prevents the bottle from relaxing. The neck finish dimensions must also adhere to tight tolerances for the special sealing system to function correctly. Röchling Medical offers the bottle range ready-to-fill (sterile).
