Driving with hydrogen
OEMs have been working for many years to develop fuel cells for electric vehicle drive units to series-production readiness. For these applications Röchling Automotive is conducting research on developing the required bipolar sheets made from special plastics that can resist the highly acidic environment and the temperatures in the fuel cells while still being able to conduct electricity. Non-conductive cooling water is needed for the cooling circuit of fuel cell vehicles. For this Röchling Automotive is developing special ion-exchange cartridges, filter elements, and degas bottles for high internal pressure.
