2-component Parts
In a 2-component process, various polymer materials are injected during a production stage and directly bonded with each other. Generally for engineered injection molded parts, seals are completely sprayed on. The malleable parts can be a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), silicon bonds, or polyurethane.
The choice of malleable parts always depends on the material grouping of the component. Our application engineers are pleased to advise you in the selection of materials. For the 2-component injection molding process, Röchling Technical Parts has at its disposal machines with clamping force up to 200 t. The following processes are available to choose from:
- Bi-injection
- Core back
- Transfer system
- Turntable
Röchling Technical Parts combines the 2-component process with complex hybrid technology (insert parts). This process is the combination of metal-plastic bonding and the simultaneous installation of malleable parts. Röchling Technical Parts manufactures 2-component parts primarily for the automotive industry and traditional machine building.
