Röchling Engineering Plastics have developed the new surface-friendly material Polystone® M soft especially for sensitive conveyed materials for product handling equipment.

Optical value retention

The external appearance is an important criterion for the quality of the product in many branches of industry. By way of example, elaborately designed containers and precious flacons in the perfume and cosmetics industry, as well as PET beverage bottles for mineral water must be saved from scratches and damage that would debase the consumer product optically.

Frequently responsible for this critical surface damage are processes in manufacturing the products, handling or bottling on linear and conveying systems.

Here, the way the plant is designed and, above all else, the materials, with which the conveyed material comes into direct contact, have a definitive influence on the quality of the surface. It is precisely here that Polystone® M soft is put to use in various geometries.

Polystone® M soft has an optimised formulation for particularly gentle sliding properties and outstanding abrasion resistance. Friction between the product being conveyed and the conveyor belt is thus kept to a minimum.

Our own pilot plant

Röchling Engineering Plastics operate their own, modern pilot plant for developing and optimising sliding and conveying elements. Here, we have tested and further optimised a host of formulations. With Polystone® M soft, we offer you a sophisticated material that ensures a rapid and smooth conveying process, at the same time handling the conveyed products with kid gloves.
